ARCO was born from the creative vision of Lutfi Malhas, a passionate Jordanian musician dedicated to building a professional orchestral scene in Jordan, and Zad for Arts Initiative. Their shared belief in music as a transformative force brought them together, leading to the creation of ARCO—a space where talent, dedication, and community unite to redefine Jordan’s musical landscape.

The word community in ARCO represents unity, shared responsibility, and mutual respect. An ARCOer demonstrates these values in the following ways:

They are loyal to themselves by committing to self-improvement, setting personal goals, and working consistently to grow both musically and personally. Loyalty to peers is shown through active support, encouragement, and celebration of their achievements, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration. Loyalty to the orchestra is reflected in prioritizing the group’s success, respecting its mission, values, and traditions, and contributing positively during rehearsals and performances.
