At ARCO, we recognize the limited presence of Woodwind and Brass musicians in Jordan and want to create an accessible way for you to join our orchestra. Wind players can apply through a simplified process designed to assess your skills while welcoming you into the ARCO community

We are currently accepting musicians for the following instruments:

WOODWIND & BRASS AUDITIONS - THREE PHASES

Woodwind & brass musicians can join ARCO through a three-phase process, designed to ensure a smooth integration into the orchestra while maintaining artistic standards. Below is a breakdown of each phase

VIDEO AUDITION & APPLICATION

Show us your skills!
The first step in joining ARCO is submitting a video audition along with the application form. This allows us to assess your current level before moving forward

  • ARCO is a community orchestra open to musicians of all ages and grades. Our auditions welcome both youth and adult musicians, ensuring that talent and dedication are the primary criteria for participation. 

    To maintain the orchestra’s high artistic standards and provide a structured learning environment, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    • Applicants of all nationalities are welcome, but they must be residing in Amman, Jordan.

    • Musicians must be willing to commit to regular rehearsals and performances. (except the Seasonal Performers)

    • All musicians must abide by ARCO’s handbook, code of conduct, and attendance policies.

  • Applicants must prepare a set of requirements, including:

    • One major scale and one minor scale of your choice.

    • Two contrasting pieces (one slow, one fast).

    • Video must be recorded in 720p or 1080p resolution (no lower, no higher).

    • The video must be uncut and unedited, showing the full performance.

    • Must include clear sound and full visibility of the musician and instrument.

    • Upload to Google Drive or YouTube (Unlisted), and ensure the link is publicly viewable.

  • Fill out the application, which includes:

    • Personal details

    • Musical information.

    • A field to submit your video audition link.


      After submission, you will receive a confirmation email within five working days.

    • Fill out the application thoroughly and accurately.

    • Incomplete applications or failure to meet the eligibility criteria will result in automatic exclusion.

    Submit and Wait for Confirmation

    • After submitting your application through the official APPLY HERE button on this page, you should receive a confirmation email within five days.

    • If you do not receive a confirmation email, your application has been rejected.

    All applicants are encouraged to prepare diligently and apply with confidence, we look forward to hearing your performance!

TRIAL REHEARSALS

Experience ARCO & find your place in the orchestra!
Once your video audition is approved, you will be invited to attend 4 to 8 trial rehearsals. This phase allows both you and ARCO to determine if you are a good fit for the orchestra

    • Play alongside ARCO musicians in real rehearsals.

    • Learn how to follow the conductor and ensemble cues.

    • Adapt to ARCO’s rehearsal structure and expectations.

    • Sign consent forms to participate in rehearsals.

    • Sign ARCO’s Handbook and Code of Conduct document to understand rehearsal etiquette and expectations.

OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE INTO ARCO

Become an official ARCO musician!
After successfully completing your trial rehearsals, you will be invited to officially join ARCO as a permanent musician. This phase finalizes your place in the orchestra and grants you full participation in rehearsals, performances, and events.

  • ✔ Sign the Official Membership Agreement.
    ✔ Accept and follow ARCO’s Code of Conduct.
    ✔ Be officially recognized as an ARCO musician.

    • From this point forward, you are a full member of ARCO, with access to exclusive performance opportunities, professional mentorship, and the chance to grow as a musician within the orchestra.
